Polystyrene Slabs
The technology is specifically used in suspended-floor slabs in multi-storey buildings.
Components of our slab are the conventional pre-stressed lintels and standard construction steel, together with our revolutionary polystyrene or concrete void-formers, onto which the concrete is then poured
Plastering & Finishing
Clients and contractors can be assured that the polystyrene Slab can be plastered in the conventional manner, using a Slurry Mix of Cement, plaster sand and Plaster Key, as an initial layer, and rough casting with Cement and Plaster Sand a day later.
We have conducted various plaster strength tests, and conclude the ability to plaster finish the slab is sustainable.
Lighting & Heavy Fittings
The usual and available Slab Boxes may be used for down lights and speaker fittings. Size required is the "500mm Box" For heavier fittings I.e chandeliers or air-conditioner units, its better to advise our engineers to design a cast-in-situ section within the slab.
